The choir was formed initially as an evening class by Peter Davies in 1986 with just 18 members, five of whom have remained members to the current day. It is an enthusiastic and friendly group which helps to raise funds for local churches and other good causes, as well as promoting an enjoyment in music. Over the years the choir has grown considerably and in 2004 Shirley Allen joined the choir as its current Musical Director.
In October 2007, the Choir reached its 21st anniversary and our Patron, Dame Norma Major, led the celebrations. Dame Norma has been Patron of the choir for many years and members were delighted that she was able to join them, along with their families and friends, for this memorable event.

2011 was another special year for the Choir. A highlight was a very successful concert to celebrate the choir's 25th anniversary. Another major event was a 'Midsummer Musical Evening' in Godmanchester which featured several wonderful guest soloists and raised £2630 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
